About Me

Hello There!

My name is Raina:)

I am a Hong Kong girl currently residing in Canada! I was an Associate Business Analyst back in Hong Kong and am just graduated from Georgian College. I have got the Ontario College Graduate Certificate in Big Data Analytics.

I enjoy so much being a data analyst because it is literally being myself. I like to observe and always ask what and why. I am always curious about the reasons behind phenomenons.

With logical and analytical thinking, sometimes I can crack the questions well. But I realized without sufficient proof (data) to support, the reasons (and solutions) are not solid and convincing. Not to mention there are many influences are actually affecting the outcome, and we thought those were irrelevant (or we just ignore).

Things are always complicated, the relationships and connections we spot without the support of sufficient data might only be shallow and most of the time are wrong. Because human are easily biased and not able to store all information in our brain to make a rational and objective-oriented decision. That's why I decided to take the Big Data Analytics program to explore how data and the analytics tools can help me to have a better understanding of human and the world.
